From November through February, low temperatures and snow affect vehicle throughput at Manzhouli and on routes inside Russia. Based on previous years, we are publishing this year’s arrangements in advance so clients can plan production and inventory.
By road, the committed transit time on the Manzhouli corridor extends by three to four days during the winter window, confirmed at the time of signing. If a deadline does not allow for that, the Khorgos corridor or a rail option is available, and we will provide a cost comparison.
On cost, anti-slip equipment and waiting time on icy sections are itemised at actual cost rather than applied as a flat seasonal surcharge. The line appears separately on the quotation so it can be checked item by item.
Air and rail are unaffected by winter road conditions, and their committed transit times stay the same. Clients planning to change mode should speak with their coordinator two weeks ahead so capacity can be re-secured.
