Starting this month, road freight through the Khorgos crossing increases from two departures per week to three, fixed on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. LCL consolidation by rail has been shifted to alternate with the road schedule, so clients can choose by how urgent the order is.
The change responds to steady growth in Central Asia volume. Over the past year demand on that corridor rose quickly, and the existing departures regularly ran short of space at the start and end of each month. With the added runs, average waiting time for routine orders has fallen by two days.
Transit to Almaty and Tashkent is adjusted accordingly: 12 to 15 days by road and 18 to 22 days by rail. Where an existing contract references the previous figures, the contract terms continue to apply and are not altered by the schedule change.
