Khorgos LCL rail service opens

The Central Asia LCL rail service opened this month, departing Xi’an weekly through Khorgos and covering Almaty, Tashkent, and Bishkek.

The lane primarily serves clients whose volume does not justify a full container. Central Asia LCL demand had previously been met largely by road, which cost more and was more exposed to conditions. The rail option adds a middle choice between speed and cost.

Transit from Xi’an runs about 18 to 22 days to Almaty and 22 to 26 days to Tashkent. Clients with flexible schedules can also send full containers on this service, using the same origin and departure frequency.

Cargo consolidates at both Xi’an and Harbin, so clients can choose the nearer drop-off point. We recommend confirming space a week ahead; schedules shift around public holidays, and current notices take precedence.
