Background
The shipment included an oversize main unit and several crates of precision parts that would not fit standard containers. The site was remote, and the client had no prior cross-border road experience, so they were worried about securing the load properly.
Our approach
- Assigned a 17.5 m low-bed trailer with a custom lashing plan, packing precision components separately with shock protection.
- Routed through Khorgos to avoid the winter ice restrictions on the Manzhouli corridor.
- Ran two drivers in rotation and scheduled a mid-route vehicle and cargo inspection in Almaty.
- Carried a full set of document copies in the cab for immediate presentation at the border inspection.
