Background
The client’s top-selling product had gone out of stock and the listing ranking had already started to slip. Rail and road were both too slow, so they needed a batch that could reach the warehouse within three to five days.
Our approach
- Confirmed commodity type and battery content, then selected an express departure from Harbin billed on volumetric weight.
- Completed pickup and export declaration the same day, with the flight departing in the early hours of the following morning.
- Cleared customs the day of arrival through a partner broker, with same-day sorting and delivery to the marketplace warehouse.
- Sent the remaining volume by road in batches so that the entire order would not carry air freight rates.
Outcome
- Air transit
- 3 days
- Units restocked
- 1,840
- Ranking recovery
- Within 5 days
- Share sent by air
- 22% of the order
Combining air for the urgent units with road for the rest kept the stockout loss contained without letting freight cost run away.
